Vodafone Global CEO, Vittorio Colao, has made D&I a strategic priority for his executive committee by several initiatives, including the creation of a new Group Head of Diversity & Inclusion role in 2009 reporting to the Group Talent Director, and by supporting the roll out of a mandatory Inclusive Leadership Workshop during 2010/11 for every Senior Leadership team in the business. This runs in tandem with a series of in-depth workshops for the HR community.
Vodaphone also hosts a quarterly webinar specifically on the theme of Diversity Inclusion and holds the senior leadership team to account by introducing gender targets linked to individual objectives and bonus criteria for the top 250 leaders. Vodaphone also made D&I a visible priority at the 2011 annual Global Leadership Conference by mandating that 25% of attendees must be female and hosted a specific workshop for female leaders within the conference. The company continues to proactively work on their D&I policies across their brand.
